The Diables Rouges de Valenciennes (official name: Valenciennes Hainaut Hockey Club ) are a French ice hockey team from Valenciennes , which was founded in 1970 and plays in Division 3 , the fourth highest French ice hockey league, in the 2012/13 season .
history
The Valenciennes Hainaut Hockey Club was founded in 1970. In the following years, the team played regularly in the third-class Division 2 and the second-class Division 1 . The team's greatest success was the third division championship in 1991. In the 1992/93 season , the team competed for the first and so far only time in the top French division . In this, however, they had no chance. After only one point in 14 main round games, the team finished last in the relegation round and was relegated to the second division. In the 2012/13 season, the team competes in fourth-class Division 3 .
