Diamond Fever is a novel by Ian Fleming and the fourth book in the James Bond series. The novel was published on March 26, 1956 under the title Diamonds are Forever in England. In Germany it was published in 1960 by Ullstein Verlag.

James Bond is supposed to dig an international diamond smuggling ring. In order to get in touch with the perpetrators, he slips into the role of a smuggler and, accompanied by the beautiful Tiffany Case, brings valuable gemstones from England to New York. There he soon realizes that he is dealing with powerful opponents: The "Spangled Mob", led by the unscrupulous twin brothers Jack and Seraffimo Spang, "earns" its money not only by smuggling diamonds, but also by gambling, Betting fraud, drug trafficking and prostitution.
With the help of his friend Felix Leiter, Bond succeeds in luring the masterminds of the mob out of the reserve. But he underestimates his opponents, is captured and tortured. Tiffany Case helps him escape. After his escape it comes to the finale, in which not only the Spang brothers, but also their sadistic employees, Wint and Kidd, are killed.

The book was filmed in 1971 under the title Diamonds are forever (German title: Diamantenfieber ) with Sean Connery in the leading role. It was Connery's last appearance in an official James Bond film.
