Diamond D (* 5. April 1968 Bronx , New York City , New York , real name Joseph Kirkland ) is an American hip-hop - producer and rapper .

biography

He achieved his fame as a member of the Ultimate Force. He achieved his current status as an artist when he founded the legendary hip-hop collective Diggin 'in the Crates .

Diamond D rarely excels due to his lyrical skills, which are, however, highly valued by many of his fans. Rather, he is considered a legend by the underground because of his beats, as he can look back on many successful collaborations (such as with the Fugees , Mos Def , ATCQ or also with ASD).

In mid-September 2008, the American independent label Babygrande Records announced the engagement of Diamond D. According to the information, he signed a contract for several albums. Diamond D made its label debut on October 14th when his new album The Huge Hefner Chronicles was released. The follow-up album The Diam Piece was released in 2014 on Dymond Mine Records.
