Diane Davis (rhetorician)
Debra Diane Davis (born July 5 or 15, 1963 ) is a post-structuralist rhetorician and professor at the University of Texas at Austin .
Diane Davis taught from 1995 to 1997 as Assistant Professor of Rhetoric and Writing at Old Dominion University in Norfolk and from 1997 to 2001 as Assistant Professor of Rhetoric at the University of Iowa . Since 2002 she has been teaching rhetoric, writing, English and communication studies at the University of Texas at Austin . There she is director of the university's digital writing and research lab .
She works at the intersection of rhetorical theory, media theory and post-structuralist philosophy .
