Diane Pilcher

Diane Pilcher (* before 1982 in California ) is an American opera singer ( mezzo-soprano ).

Life

After completing her singing studies with honors at California State University in Fullerton , Pilcher worked as a vocal trainer at the Crystal Cathedral Performing Arts Center in Garden Grove, California, and also appeared as a soloist in concerts in Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego and Hamburg. She has lived in Germany since 1982.

Pilcher sang at the Komische Oper and the Deutsche Oper Berlin , at the Saarbrücken State Theater, the Wuppertaler Bühnen , at the Mannheim National Theater , at the Stuttgart State Opera , at the Hessian State Theater Wiesbaden , at the Frankfurt Opera , at the Zurich Opera House , at the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels , at the Graz Opera House and the Oslo Opera House roles of Mrs. Quickly in Verdi'sFalstaff ”, the Zita in Puccini'sGianni Schicchi ”, Herodias in Richard Strauss ' “ Salome ” and the Countess in Tchaikovsky'sQueen of Spades ”. She made her debut at the Salzburg Festival in summer 2005 as Annina in “ La traviata ” alongside Anna Netrebko and Rolando Villazón .
