The Diaz-Windfarm ( English Diaz Wind Farm ), also Diaz-Windpark (English Diaz Wind Park ), is a planned wind park near Lüderitz in Namibia . After completion, the first phase is to become the third largest power plant in the country and by far the largest wind farm. The construction costs are estimated at 1.5 billion Namibian dollars .
The power plant will be built by Diaz Wind Power, a subsidiary of United Africa . The feed-in contract with the state electricity supplier NamPower was concluded in December 2017. A second expansion phase with 90 MW is also being planned.
The initial commissioning was planned for 2013. As of December 2017, 2019 was assumed to be [obsolete] .
