The Dickens Rocks are two reef rocks west of the Antarctic Peninsula . They are located at the northern end of the Pitt Islands group belonging to the Biscoe Islands archipelago .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped the rocks using aerial photographs from Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. from 1956. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them in 1959 after the British writer Charles Dickens (1812-1870), after whose characters in the serial novel The Pickwickier (1836-1837) numerous other objects in the area are named.
