Didi Blumer
Anna Katharina "Didi" Blumer (born March 7, 1883 in Schwanden , today Glarus Süd , † September 4, 1973 there ) was a Swiss home economics teacher .
After teacher training and school service in Schwanden and Zurich , she and Fritz Wartenweiler founded the Volksbildungsheim in Neukirch an der Thur in 1925 , which she headed until 1955. With the cookbook "222 Recipes" (with Christine Zulauf), which has sold over 500,000 times, she propagated healthy eating.
Didi Blumer was the sister of the Glarus entrepreneur Samuel Blumer .
