The final class was a pseudo-documentary that was first broadcast as final class 03 (2003).
The program was intended to depict the real life of high school graduates and was initially broadcast on the ProSieben talk show Arabella , in which the amateur actors commented on their experiences and presented them as authentic.

Sequels
The roles from the final year 2003 were continued in the show and were later seen in Friends - Life Begins and Friends - Life Goes on . New characters and members of the graduating classes in the following years added to the cast, some of the amateur actors left the series. A total of four seasons of the series were produced ( graduating class 2003 to graduating class 2006 ). In 2019, Tresor TV produced a new edition of the series called Krass Graduating Class , which ran on RTL II .
