The Bockwurschtbude is a punk band from Frankfurt (Oder) founded in 1995 .

history

Emerging from the tin punk band Die Kunstblumen , Mikro Mostrich (guitar) and Mieschka Mayonaise (drums) founded Die Bockwurschtbude in November 1995 in order to make "real" music in the future. Own songs were written quickly and so the first concert finally took place on December 31, 1995 in the drying room of a new East German building in Frankfurt (Oder).

Half a year later the first recordings followed in a garage, as a result of which the tape was produced, which was then sold around 70 times in the schoolyard. Various local appearances followed.

In August 1996 the band was strengthened by Robert Rotcool on bass, who shortly afterwards thought of quitting again. So Fabi Pfeffer joined the band as a replacement to take on the part of bassist. However, this mixture turned out to be extremely fruitful, so it was decided to continue with four people. From then on, both played alternately on the bass and the rhythm guitar.

At the beginning of 1997 the tape Bier instead of Böller was recorded together and in 1998 the third tape Leben for the moment was recorded.

In 1999 they went on a spring tour, which was very successful for the band and culminated in Frankfurt (Oder). Through further published tape and CD samplers as well as with the tape The unknown Punkband , they became better known in Brandenburg and beyond its borders. It was a bit quiet around the band until the end of 2000, when they played a few concerts at the turn of the year and finally released the new CD Kräuterrock in January 2002 , which was released on the band's own label "Kraut & Rüben Records".

In 2004 Robert Rotcool and Fabi Pfeffer left the band and were replaced on bass by Rosi Rettich , former singer of the band Oderflut , with whom the CD / LP For a Handful of Bockwurscht (2007), Picture-7 " Immer wieder Sunday / Unwritten and recorded the 10 " Ein Ende am Licht des Tunnels (2009) with 7 demo songs.

Five years after the last full length album and several concerts, a 7 "vinyl EP was released in December 2012, on which the Frankfurt bands Telekoma, Paranoia and Frankfurter Pöbel also feature an unreleased song Die Bockwurschtbude. This is hand-numbered to 300 pieces The last album to date, Back to the Roots , was released on CD by Puke Music in 2013. A release on vinyl is planned for May 2013 on Elbpower Records.

In December 2015 the band appeared in the TV recording "Die BrandenburgSchau" by musician and cabaret artist Rainald Grebe - without the new member Rico Rübe who joined in November 2015 . It was broadcast on the RBB in January 2016.
