Gretel Kästel to the Plevier

The Crazy Girls were a pop music - girl group , which consisted 1963-1965.

The three band members Rosi Rohr, Gretel Kästel and Ans Plevier met in the early 1960s as members of the Botho Lucas Choir , whose successful title Berliner Polka was released by Columbia Records . The pop singer and pianist Paul Kuhn was producing young talents under this label at the time and so he brought them together with the Dutch band The Javalins , which he produced . The bands recorded together in 1963 the single Hey hey ha ha with the song Joe, the guitar man , a cover version of Duane Eddy's Dance with the guitar man , on the B-side , which was released in Germany, the Netherlands and the United States. The second single of both bands was in the following year and included with Hully Gully Hop a cover of Martian Hop by The Ran-Dells and on the B-side to let them speak a version of Do not Say Nothin 'Bad (About My Baby) by The Cookies .

The fire chair / This is nobody's business

The first recording without The Javalins Lass Dir Zeit was made in 1965 and was a cover version of the Johnny Smith song Walk — Don't Run , which had hit the charts several times in previous years in the version of The Ventures . On the B-side was a song called No Words Slop . In the same year two more singles were released: First, Der Feuerstuhl appeared as a Germanized, but otherwise exactly copied version of The Shangri-Las Leader of the Pack on the A- and the song That is nobody's business on the B-side, then one Single with the songs Our world is the big city and That is easier said than done .

After the Crazy Girls broke up, Rosi Rohr joined the Günter Kallmann Choir , while Gretel Kästel and Ans Plevier began solo projects.
