The Eickers (also: Familie Eicker ) are a vocal formation from the family members of the Eicker family who have been active in the Christian music scene for several decades.

After the singing duo Elsa & Ernst August Eicker had occasionally taken their two daughters Cornelia and Ruthild onto the stage since they were three and five years old, the family quartet The Eickers was formed as they grew up in the 1970s . Elsa and Cornelia, both soprano voices, occupied the melody and the upper part, the older sister Ruthild sang the alto and Ernst August Eicker the male voice. In this line-up, the Eickers appeared on various stages from sacred spaces to festivals all over Germany for decades. The family quartet also made numerous international concert tours to Canada, Israel and the USA, among others; mostly together with the We-sing-for-Jesus-Choir . As the family grew to include sons-in-law and the third generation, the form and line-up of the musical group varied increasingly. The name was also changed to the Eicker family .

In 1979, the sisters Ruthild and Cornelia released a solo album entitled Es ist ein gute Weg , which, although the family quartet as a whole only had a guest role in two titles, was sold under the name Die Eickers .

In the summer of 2006, the title Schau ich zurück , published in 1991, was the first song to reach the thousand mark of the favorite show Gern Hearts on Evangeliums-Rundfunk . The Eickers then subsequently produced a music video in their original line-up as a quartet, which was released on DVD for the anniversary production of the same name for the fortieth anniversary of its parent umbrella brand Wir singen für Jesus .

Also with the original line-up, the ensemble has already performed repeatedly in the successful nostalgia concert series Unforgotten - songs that stay on. The large-format concert events, organized by ERF and Gerth Medien , took the Eickers as a quartet to Wetzlar in 2011 and to Crimmitschau in 2013 .

Also in the nationwide Senior Citizens of the Confederation of Free Evangelical Churches in Germany guest appearances The Eickers 2011 in its old form.

As a rule, however, the group today, with its extended line-up as the Eicker family , mainly gives concerts in a church setting.
