Fahrnberger siblings

The Fahrnberger siblings were a German singing duo, consisting of Rosa "Rosel" Fahrnberger (born October 2, 1921 in Munich; † February 7, 2015 in Gauting) and Anni Fahrnberger (born June 29, 1925 in Munich).

The duo performed popular hits in the 1950s , and they also made several film appearances. On August 6, 1954, Rosa married the zither virtuoso Rudi Knabl (born September 22, 1912 in Munich; † July 15, 2001 in Gauting) and Anni with Fred Vitztum (born March 20, 1909; † September 12, 2004) , a trumpeter. Rosa's son later became musical director at the Residenztheater in Munich.

In 1957, the Fahrnberger siblings came into the German annual hit parade with “The bells are ringing at Königssee” . In 1977 they made their last public appearance.
