Rudi Knabl

Rudi Knabl (born September 22, 1912 in Munich ; † July 15, 2001 in Gauting ) was a Bavarian zither player .

Knabl, the son of a couple who run a restaurant, grew up in Chiemgau . He learned to play the zither in his early youth. Fritz Mühlhölzl was one of his teachers. He later appeared with Hans Groher, Heinz Kulzer and with Ferdinand Weisheitinger's farmer's theater, among others . For many years he was permanently engaged as a zither player for the Bavarian radio .

Rudi Knabl was buried in the forest cemetery in Gauting .
