Die Bone Children was a band from Harxbüttel in Lower Saxony near Braunschweig .
Band history
The name "The Bone Children" occurred to Anne "Orgel" Baumgarten even before the actual foundation. The band describes their style of music as Schnarrrock, which is related to beat , indie rock , punk rock and the so-called " Hamburger Schule ".
After it was founded in 1996, the first demo tape "... and you think so!" Was made in early 1998 together with the later member Christian Heine ( Tchi ) . recorded. During the recording of the second demo, "act smarter!" Then came the band-related music label Omnidor , on which the first regular album "I would rather have something like." appeared.
In 2004 the second and last album "-serviervorschlag-" - like the single "Wo duwohnst" (2003) before it - was released on Tumbleweed Records . In addition, 2004 was the year with the most concerts for Die Bone Children.
With the dissolution in 2007, the band paid tribute to the situation, which was gradually changing due to the end of their studies, relocations and family planning. There were already new songs for the planned third album, but it became more and more difficult to play live and go on tour . However, it was precisely through the live experience that Die Bone Children defined themselves as a band and therefore decided to break up. On July 20, 2007, a farewell concert took place in Braunschweig.
Between 1996 and 2007 more than 130 concerts were given in Germany and Austria .
