The Kullerköpfe were the West Berlin puppet theater of the puppeteer Michael Orth , and Andreas Rothe was one of the founding members . In the 1970s and 1980s, it was one of the most renowned puppet theaters in Germany and gained nationwide fame primarily through its intensive radio play work. The producer of the productions was Kurt Vethake .

In addition to Die Kullerköpf , the stage was sometimes also called Michael Orth and his theater for children and bi-ba-bo . The work of the theater ended with the death of Michael Orth in the mid-1990s .

The Kullerköpfe resulted notably in 1976 in the Christmas teleplay No evening like any other , with Heinz Rühmann and Peter Ustinov in the lead roles, made an appearance.
