The Milky Way is an American animated short film directed by Rudolf Ising from 1940.

action

Three little kittens lost their gloves . As a punishment, her mother sends her to bed without her bedtime milk. The three kittens look longingly out the window of their room at the Milky Way . There they would be able to drink milk. A kitten sees three balloons and a basket in the room and so the three of them fly into the sky with their self-made balloon.

You pass a planet made of cheese , inhabited by mice, and are shot at by the planet Mars . Finally, they reach the Milky Way, where there is milk in abundance: Glass bottle with milk and straw invite to drink one, milk cases , milk geysers , many baby bottles full of Dairy filled jars and bowls populate the planet. The kittens drink their fill. When one of the kittens drinks milk from a geyser, it suddenly rumbles in his stomach and it is thrown through the air. All three kittens end up in a butter machine and eventually threaten to be pushed over the edge of the milk planet. They cling to each other and look longingly at the earth far below.

Suddenly you can see the three kittens hanging on the bed in their room - they fall to the floor. The mother cat opens the door and announces that the three of them can get their dinner now. The kittens run enthusiastically into the dining room. There are three glasses of milk on the table - the kittens faint.

production
