The Peheiros
The Peheiros (also: The Three Peheiros ) were a German singing group that was successful in radio, television and hit business in the 1950s to 1970s .
history
The trio consisted of the musicians Peter Schulz (1922–1983), Heinz Meyer (1920–2014) and Rolf Igneé (1918–2008), who had met in the 1930s as apprentices in the Bremen aircraft yard of Focke-Wulf and were used during the Second World War by the Reichsmusikkammer to support troops around Bremen. The name of the group, which existed until at least 1979, but probably until the death of Peter Schulz in 1983, was derived from their first names.
One of her successful titles was the hit “ Wasser ist das Washing” . Like the latter, most of the texts in their successful titles were written by the Bremen lyricist Hans Hee .
In their stage announcements they explained their group name, which was derived from their first names: "Thank God, we are not Anton, Gebhard and Erich - then we would be The Showers ."
Since the early 1950s they played in the port concerts of Radio Bremen and the NWDR , then appeared in several music films and, towards the end of their career from 1965 to 1979, appeared several times as extras on the Rudi Carrell Show and Amlauf Band . They were more often active as an accompanying group for recordings by other artists, for example for Lys Assia ( Swedish girl ) or Sylvia Dahl .
