Liselotte Bühler

Liselotte Bühler (born June 6, 1922 in Fürth ; † February 28, 2003 in Stuttgart - Bad Cannstatt ) was a German SPD politician . From 1976 to 1992 she was a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament .

Life and politics

Bühler completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk. She joined the SPD in 1946 and was elected to the city council of her home town of Fürth in 1948 . After moving to Stuttgart in 1955, she continued her political commitment there. She was active in parenting for several years and from 1965 to 1968 chaired the Stuttgart Parents' Council .

Between 1965 and 1976 she was a member of the Stuttgart City Council. In the state elections in 1976, she was elected to the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg, to which she was a member until 1992, through a second mandate from the Stuttgart IV constituency . She was a member of the Presidium and a member of the cultural policy committee. In the 10th electoral term (1988–1992) she was the age president of the state parliament.

Liselotte Bühler's political focus was on the fields of social policy and women's policy, where she particularly advocated a better work-life balance.

Liselotte Bühler was a member of ÖTV / Ver.di , the AWO , the Friends of Nature , the Lebenshilfe association , the German Family Association and Amnesty International .
