The show with the cat (original title: Téléchat ) was a French children's series developed by filmmakers Roland Topor and Henri Xhonneux in the 1980s.

Basic idea

The news program presented by the cat Muschkatz (originally Groucha ) and the ostrich Lola , two dolls, brings exclusive reports from all areas of the material world, e.g. B. on the contents of trouser pocket bottoms or the final of the seventh world championship for tube long jump (the winner is a French tube of Dijon mustard ). Things are also in the focus insofar as Lola has founded a thing protection association (DSV for short). In each broadcast, one item is congratulated on the name day (e.g. Santa's dripping faucet, Santa's clothespin or Santa's vermilion) In addition, an episode of “Grünzeugmann” is shown every now and then (e.g. “Grünzeugmann defeats the darkness” - by turning on the light). This "series in a series" (21 episodes; in the original Léguman ) comes from Topor and was produced in Belgium.

Gluons

Matter itself also appears in the broadcast, namely in the form of gluons , which are asked about its state and that of the world. It is stated that “the very youngest have the most to tell”. Gluons are represented as the soul of things. For example, you can also interview the moon, a hole or a cream cake; the answer is not the cream cake atom, but the cream cake gluon.

people

In addition to the two moderators, there are:

  • a clumsy monkey (never named), presents Taugnix products during the commercial break (original: pub-pub ),
  • Frau Brille , a somewhat scary looking shoe, often referred to by Lola as the "old witch" (Original: Madame Lunettes )
  • the broom Bürsthart , archivist of the studio (Original: Brossedur ),
  • Dudel , the dictionary in two volumes (Original: Albert le dictionnaire en deux volumes ),
  • the iron Doctor Faltfrei , incorruptible notary (original: Maître Duramou ),
  • the saucepan Gisela , likes to eat the ingredients himself (original: Giesèle ),
  • Grünzeugmann , hero of the series of the same name (original Léguman ),
  • the lightbulb just right , only lights up if the viewer likes the current program (original Bons-Moments ),
  • the Hallodri telephone (original Durallô ),
  • the microphone Mikmac , has its own opinion on each topic (original Mic-Mac ),
  • the trash can Olga , eats everything that is there,
  • the fork Raymonde , Countess of the dining room (original Raymonde du Tiroir de la Salle-à-Manger ) and
  • Sophie the spoon Difficult to swallow , often invited to the studio as a "randomly selected" viewer (original Sophie Dur-à-Avaler )
