The new Best Of is a best-of album by Andrea Berg . It was released on March 30, 2007 by Ariola / Sony BMG Music Entertainment .

Emergence

After the great success of the first best-of album, which had become the longest-lasting sound carrier in German chart history, the label decided to release a successor in 2007. The younger albums such as Du or Machtlos were also taken into account when selecting songs . As usual , the album was produced by Eugen Römer , who also played most of the instruments. A dance mix of one of Berg's greatest hits, You Lie To Me A Thousand Times, was chosen as a bonus track .

reception

The album could not build on the success of Berg's first best-of record, but achieved high chart positions in German-speaking countries, such as fourth place in Germany , seventh place in Switzerland and first place in Austria , where it is 104 chart weeks developed into a long-running hit. In Austria it reached triple platinum, in Germany it reached five times gold.
