The Skilled Boy Scouts is a 1938 American animated short film directed by Jack King .

action

Donald Duck is on a scout tour of Yellowstone National Park with his nephews Tick, Trick und Track . He wants to teach them things, but creates more chaos than lessons. When one of his nephews tries to cut a small tree with an ax , Donald shows him that one should always cut down large trees - only he overlooks the fact that his chosen example is a petrified tree . The tent construction also goes wrong, as Donald bends down a tree top to put the tarpaulin over the stretched tree. When the tether comes loose, Donald is thrown through the air. He makes the most of his situation and sprinkles himself with ketchup to scare his nephews. He is promptly fully bandaged by the three and can no longer see anything. It ends up in a honey jar .

A bear comes by and licks the honey off of him. When Donald blind him a slap missed the bear is angry. Donald barely escapes him and ends up on a geyser hole when he escapes . The bear stands high above him on a ledge. The geyser erupts and Donald is carried to the same height as the bear. Since Tick, Trick and Track want to help their uncle, they throw bigger and bigger boulders at the geyser hole, which are thrown up again and again and hit Donald. After all, the largest ball-like chunk is big enough that there is space for the bear as well as Donald. Donald now runs away on the ball and the bear chases him. Tick, Trick and Track go to sleep. Donald flees from the bear at dusk.
