Diego González , full name Diego Alexis González Miranda , (born February 21, 1997 in Tacuarembó or Paso de los Toros ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.72-meter-tall offensive player González played for the Defensor Sporting youth team from 2010 to 2012 . He then worked for the Tacuarembó-based club Ferrocarril from 2012 to 2013. From 2013 to 2015 he returned to the Defensor Sporting youth team. In 2015 he moved to Juventud and was also a member of the youth team (Formativas). At the club from Las Piedras he was part of the matchday squad for the first time on November 21, 2015 in a league game of the professional team, but was not used. On February 21, 2016 he finally made his debut for Juventud in the Primera División , when he was substituted on by coach Jorge Giordano on the 3rd matchday of Clausura in the 89th minute of the 3-1 away win against Liverpool Montevideo for Facundo Barcelo . In total, he completed two top division games (no goal) in the 2015/16 season. During the 2016 season he was used twice (no goal) in the league. In the current 2017 season he has played so far (as of February 9, 2017) in a first division game (no goal).
