Diego Moltrer
Diego Moltrer (born September 28, 1967 in Levico Terme ; † November 17, 2014 in Val Cava near Florutz in Fersental ) was an Italian politician and regional council president of Trentino-South Tyrol .
Life
Diego Moltrer was the owner of an artisanal family company in the construction machinery industry. For more than 15 years he was mayor of Florutz. In 2009 he became president of the newly founded valley community Alta Valsugana and Fersental. In the valley community committee he was, among other things, a consultant for language minorities, planning, construction, the right to study, asset management and public works.
Moltrer was politically active in the Partito Autonomista Trentino Tirolese PATT. He was a member of the Trentino regional parliament for this party since 2011 . From November 28, 2013 until his death he was President of the Regional Council Trentino-South Tyrol .
Moltrer died of a heart attack while on a hunting trip near his hometown. He left behind his wife and three children.
