Dieter Dennig

Dieter Dennig (born August 3, 1946 in Tettnang , Bodenseekreis) is a German neurologist and epileptologist .

Life

After studying (until 1971) in Tübingen, Hamburg and Glasgow, Dennig completed his specialist training in the neurological clinic at the Bürgerhospital in Stuttgart, where he was then senior physician from 1976 to 1986. Afterwards he settled as a neurologist in Stuttgart- Bad Cannstatt , since 2003 with the recognition as a main practice for epileptology.

Dennig was u. a. from 1986 to 2008 treasurer and board member of the German Society for Epileptology (DGfE). Since 1998 he has regularly held MOSES seminars (epilepsy training courses for those affected and their relatives), which he has been actively involved in updating. He is u. a. Co-author of various statements of the DGfE, u. a. on generics or on the use of valproate in women and also the guidelines of the German Society for Neurology on the first epileptic seizure and on epilepsy in adulthood.
