Dieter Engels (born February 6, 1960 ) is a former German soccer player who was used in midfield.
Career
Coming from the Oberliga Nordrhein at Olympia Bocholt , Engels played for one year in the 2nd Bundesliga with Rot-Weiß Oberhausen in 1984 . But he could not prevail there and then went back to amateur football. Engels had his only appearance on the second match day of the 1984/85 season against VfR Bürstadt . He was substituted for Stefan Dauber in the second half .
