Dieter Götz (born September 4, 1964 in Essen ) is a former German soccer player and today's coach .

Career

player

In the 1987/88 season Götz played 19 games as a striker for FC Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga . He scored six goals. At the end of the season Götz finished 18th with his team and was relegated to the second division.

As an amateur, the attacker had different stations before and after his only season as a professional. With SpVgg Erkenschwick he was 1986/87 champion of the Oberliga Westfalen . Götz took the top scorer's crown with 22 goals this season.
