Dieter Heimen (born March 7, 1966 ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper .

Career

player

Dieter Heimen spent his youth in football in Mannheim. First he played for Phoenix Mannheim before moving to city rivals SV Waldhof Mannheim . At Waldhof he gained his first experience as a professional, but remained without commitment in the league. He made his first appearances for Schalke 04 . In the 1987/88 season he made his debut on the 9th match day in the Bundesliga . It was the game against Borussia Dortmund , in the Revierderby he was substituted for Schalke's number one between the posts, Toni Schumacher in the 21st minute of the game. BVB won 4-1 in front of their home crowd. Heimen also played the next Bundesliga game for the S04. Against FC Bayern Munich they also lost 4-1, it was their last appearance at Schalketor. Then played for Viktoria Aschaffenburg until the end of 1992 , then for SV Darmstadt 98 and VfR Mannheim .

Trainer

After his time as a player, he took over the position on the sidelines, including at SV 98/09 Seckenheim, FC Rot, VfR Mannheim and TSG Weinheim . He celebrated promotions with Seckenheim, Rot and Weinheim and became the best newcomer the following year.
