Dieter Hoppe (born August 3, 1946 in Glauchau ) is a German non-fiction author on the keeping and breeding of parrots .

Life

Hoppe has been involved with birds since his youth . He acquired knowledge of the keeping and breeding of parrots by studying sources and traveling to South and Central America and Southeast Asia. Publications appeared as specialist books , guides and also in specialist journals such as Gefiederte Welt , Parrotien and WP-Magazin .

A main focus lies in the observation of free-living in Germany population of Amazons in Rosenstein Park in Stuttgart .
