Dieter Jeschke

Dieter Heinz Gerhard Jeschke (born May 21, 1937 in Berlin ) is a German medic.

Career

Jeschke is a specialist in internal medicine, cardiology, sports and aviation medicine. He was director of the sports medicine chair at the University of Tübingen and, from 1986 until his retirement in 2002, professor for preventive and rehabilitative sports medicine at the Technical University of Munich .

In 1977 he founded the first outpatient heart group in Tübingen. Since 1987 he has been the founder and chairman of the Board of Trustees for Prevention and Rehabilitation, the umbrella organization for outpatient heart and osteoporosis groups. At the same time he was for many years chairman of the state working group for cardiological prevention and rehabilitation in Bavaria (Herz-LAG Bayern) and from 1985 to 2001 medical-scientific advisor in the German Ski Association .
