The Dieter Koch Musikverlag (also: DIKO or DiKo ) was a music label of the former NPD functionary Dieter Koch . It was based in Sprockhövel , North Rhine-Westphalia , and was one of the best-known German right-wing rock labels from 1996 to 2000 .

Label history

The label was founded in Sprockhövel in 1996 as a supplement to Dieter Kochs Verlag. The first three releases were the debut albums by Bulldog, Frontalkraft and Kroizzug . Mostly German-language publications appeared. The international albums include the two Thunderrock samplers with Brutal Attack and Bound for Glory , the solo album Don't Think Twice by Brutal Attack singer Ken McLellan , Soldiers of Freedom and Broadsword. A mail order business was connected to the label.

After a house search in the offices of the label several CDs were seized that the offense of sedition fulfilled. On September 15, 1999 Dieter Koch was sentenced to a suspended sentence. In the process he admitted that he had achieved an annual turnover of 700,000 DM with the label. In another trial, his colleague Dieter Schirmer was convicted, who was present at a concert by the Wuppertal band All-Clear in Solingen , organized by Steve Bramekamp (founder of the All-Clear and guitarist of Kraftschlag) in 1996, and sold material from the label. One of the stewards there wore a swastika armband . Jens Uwe Arpe, the singer from Kraftschlag , also appeared as a surprise guest. Arpe was sentenced to two years' imprisonment without parole in a separate trial before the Wuppertal district court for singing anti-Semitic and racist songs. The case against Dieter Koch was discontinued after paying a fine. After the two processes, Koch decided to discontinue the label and concentrate on shipping merchandising products under the Dikotex name .

Dieter Koch sat for the NPD in the district council of the Ennepe-Ruhr district until 2004 and was temporarily editor of the JN magazine “Einheit und Kampf”.
