Dieter Krause (engineer)

Dieter Krause (born December 11, 1962 in Erlangen ) is professor for product development and construction technology and was vice president of teaching at the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg .

Life

Krause studied production engineering / mechanical engineering at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg with a focus on construction technology and handling and assembly technology, and received his doctorate there in 1992 with a thesis on computer-aided design . From 1992 to 1994 he was appointed chief engineer to develop the research focus on recycling-friendly design. He then worked in various mechanical and plant engineering companies for the automotive industry. In 2005 Krause took over the management of the Institute for Product Development and Construction Technology at the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg . From May 2011 to May 2012 he was Vice President Teaching there.
