Dieter Löschner (born March 7, 1931 ) was a soccer goalkeeper in the GDR league . In the top division of the GDR Football Association , he played for progress Meerane and SC Motor Karl-Marx-Stadt .

His first league season 1951/52 with the company sports community (BSG) progress Meerane ended disappointingly with relegation to the GDR league . A year later, however, he managed to return to the top league with the BSG. Two more league seasons followed until Meerane finally relegated from the league in 1955. Löschner had been in the Meeraner Tor 68 times within three first division seasons, in which a total of 90 point games were played.

At the end of the 1961/62 season Löschner was able to celebrate another promotion. Meanwhile starting for SC Motor Karl-Marx-Stadt, he helped the team to become first class in the 39 game season with 32 appearances. Now already 31 years old, he completed his last league season in 1962/63. In the season of 26 point games, he was once again in 14 matches in the goal of SC Motor. Löschner's last league game took place on May 12, 1963, it was the match on the last day of the season between Dynamo Dresden and SC Motor Karl-Marx-Stadt (1: 1).

Löschner remained with the Karl-Marx-Städter Klub, even after the football section was outsourced to the newly founded FC Karl-Marx-Stadt in 1966 . There he was, among other things, the coach of the school team.
