Dieter Laudenbach

Dieter Laudenbach (* 1957 in Dermbach ) is a German politician ( AfD ) and has been a member of the Thuringian state parliament since 2019 .

Life

Laudenbach worked at what was then Interhotel Gera from 1972 to 1989 and graduated in 1974 as a waiter. He also studied industrial engineering at the Leipzig University of Applied Sciences from 1979 to 1983, graduating with a degree in engineering and economics . In July 2020 it became known that Laudenbach had been listed in an MfS file since 1986 as an unofficial employee (IM) with the code name "Klaus". There is no declaration of commitment. Laudenbach denies that he knowingly committed himself as an IM, but did not rule out the possibility of being "skimmed off" as a source without his knowledge as part of his work at the Interhotel.

He has been working as a restaurateur in Thuringia since 1990. In November 2015 he became a member of the AfD. In the local elections in Thuringia in 2018 , he was nominated by his party as a candidate for the office of Mayor of Gera and made it into the second ballot, where he was defeated by the non-party Julian Vonarb . In the state elections in Thuringia in 2019 , he succeeded in entering the state parliament via the state list of the AfD.

Laudenbach has lived in Gera since 1967 and is married.
