Dieter Lehmann (born September 10, 1940 ) is a former German football player who was active in 1964/65 for SC Neubrandenburg in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football .

Athletic career

Dieter Lehmann began playing organized football in 1953 at the age of thirteen with the tractor company sports community in the northern Harz community of Ermsleben . For the first time in higher-class football he appeared in the 1962/63 season at BSG Chemie Wolfen , for which he played nine point games in the second-rate GDR league . For the 1963/64 season Lehmann moved to the GDR league club Turbine Neubrandenburg, played there as a defender 13 point games and then rose with the team in the GDR league. In the league season 1964/65, in which the Neubrandenburg started as a sports club Neubrandenburg, he was used again from the beginning in the defense, but did not get any further after five games. The SC Neubrandenburg had to relegate back to the GDR league at the end of the season, and Lehmann migrated to BSG Motor Schwerin in the third-class district league . He never returned to higher-class football.
