Dieter Müller (graphic designer)
Dieter Müller (born June 3, 1938 in Berlin ; † May 18, 2010 in Berlin) was a German graphic artist and painter . He was considered one of the leading book illustrators in the GDR .
Live and act
After training as a fashion draftsman, Dieter Müller studied at the master school for graphics and book trade in Berlin-Friedenau and at the technical school for advertising and design , Berlin, and then worked as a graphic designer and studio manager in the Berlin trade, and has been working as a freelance since 1970. He was a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR (VBK) and the Federal Association of Visual Artists (BBK).
Works
He left behind around a hundred designed books, illustrations for fiction, volumes of poetry, especially children's, fairy tale, school and non-fiction books, posters, advertising, commercial and small graphics, storyboards and trick camera work for television and film in a wide variety of graphic techniques . In the field of fine arts, he emerged with representational and non-representational images and graphics.
Exhibitions
Müller had solo exhibitions in Berlin, Moscow, Bologna, Wittenberg, Springe / Deister and Coppenbrügge. He also took part in numerous group exhibitions.
