Dieter Niess (born March 19, 1926 in Rastenburg ) is a former German ice hockey player .

Athletic career

Dieter Niess, who came from the offspring of SV Rastenburg , was in the VfL Bad Nauheim squad from 1950/51 to 1953/54 before he moved to the Düsseldorfer EG . There he continued his career until 1959.

Internationally he took part with the German national team in the ice hockey world championship in 1953 , where he was runner-up with the team. At the Olympic Winter Games in 1952 , he was in the squad.
