Dieter Schiele (born March 11, 1950 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German hunting and horse painter.

Life

Dieter Schiele was born in 1950 in Frankfurt am Main into a family of artists. The father was a musician, the expressionist painter Egon Schiele was his great-uncle. In his youth, he first followed his father's wishes and became a type founder, later a draftsman and construction technician. At the age of 27 he decided to devote himself entirely to painting. Today he lives in Hesse on the western edge of the Vogelsberg.

Dieter Schiele follows the motifs of nature with his painting. He is particularly fond of the falcons and the horses. He is a hunter, falconer and rider himself. As early as the late 1970s, Dieter Schiele received orders from members of leading families in Saudi Arabia and the United Emirates. Even in Europe, noble families and princely houses became his customers. Jagdschloss Kranichstein has acquired a painting from Dieter Schiele for its collection. His huge dioramas can be seen in Werner Lettl's hunting museum in Treunreut am Chiemsee .
