Dieter Schulte (born December 18, 1938 in Dortmund ) is a German football coach .

Schulte played for SC Preußen Werl , FC Schalke 04 , Alemannia Aachen , ETB Schwarz-Weiß Essen and Freiburg FC before playing as a professional in Los Angeles for eight years. There he acquired the sports teacher diploma.

After his return in 1976 he was assistant to Dettmar Cramer at FC Bayern Munich in 1977 . The following year he moved to Eintracht Frankfurt to train there as Otto Knefler's assistant . In March 1980, Schulte passed the soccer teacher exam. From July 1980 he coached SpVgg Fürth , then 1. FC Saarbrücken until 1982.
