Dietershofen in Babenhausen (officially Dietershofen b.Babenhausen ) is a district of the Upper Swabian community Oberschönegg .

history

In the 8th century Dietershofen was part of the Ottobeuren monastery foundation . The place went into the possession of the bishopric of Augsburg in 1354/55 . It remained in its possession until secularization . On June 24, 1462 Dietershofen was due to disputes between the Bavarian Duke Ludwig IX. and the bishopric of Augsburg burned down by the Bavarian duke. By 1771 the number of properties increased to 26.

Incorporations

Dietershofen incorporated the hamlet of Märxle in 1818. The municipality of Dietershofen bei Babenhausen itself was incorporated into the municipality of Oberschönegg on May 1, 1978.
