Diether Noll

Diether Noll (born September 22, 1934 in Merzig (Saar)) is a German composer .

Vita

Diether Noll grew up in Erfurt . First composition lessons as a student with Johann Cilenšek . From 1954 to 1957 he studied at the Liszt School of Music Weimar (conducting, piano, composition). Engagements as a conductor at theaters a. a. in Erfurt, Leipzig, Chemnitz, Potsdam. Until 1999 as conductor, conductor and repetitor at the Cottbus State Theater . Lecturer at the Musikhochschule Berlin from 1981 to 2000. Guest conductor a. a. at the Berlin State Opera , the Dresden State Opera , the Berlin Symphony Orchestra , in Hungary, Poland, Romania, the former CSR, in Estonia. Also regularly active as a pianist (song accompanist and chamber musician). In 2003 he won first prize in a composition competition organized by the “Brandenburgische Verein Neue Musik eV” for chamber ensembles. Diether Noll lives in Eichwalde today .
