Dietmar von Reeken

Dietmar von Reeken (born October 9, 1959 in Wilhelmshaven ) is a German history didactician and since 2004 professor for history didactics with a focus on history teaching and history culture at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg .

Career

Dietmar von Reeken studied history, Protestant religious studies , pedagogy and sociology at the universities of Münster and Oldenburg from 1980 to 1985 and completed his legal clerkship at the study seminar in Celle from 1988 to 1990 . In 1989 he was in History at the University of Oldenburg doctorate and was then a research assistant at the University of Bielefeld . The habilitation followed in 1998 at the University of Oldenburg in the subject of modern history and didactics of history. In 2001 he became professor for didactics of general teaching at the Center for Teacher Education at Bielefeld University and in 2004 he accepted an appointment at Oldenburg University.

Dietmar von Reeken is the author and publisher of a large number of publications with historical topics and didactic content prepared for school lessons, but also dealt in detail with specific topics of the history of Bremen and the history of East Frisia .
