Dietrich Carl Piderit

Dietrich Karl Piderit (born January 21, 1790 in Blomberg ; † August 20, 1854 in Bad Ems ) was a German civil servant , politician and judge in the Principality of Lippe .

Life

Dietrich Karl Piderit studied law at the University of Göttingen from 1809 and then accompanied the Lippe battalion in 1812 as an auditor of Napoleon's 1812 Russian campaign . From 1813 to 1815 he took part in the Wars of Liberation .

From 1820 to 1825 he was a lawyer before joining the Lippe state services as a government assessor in 1825. In 1831 he became a councilor and in 1845 a secret councilor . On March 20, 1850, he received the appointment to the Secret Upper Government Council.

Piderit represented Lippe in the Erfurt manor house and was then advisor to the Hereditary Prince at the Berlin Prince Congress in 1850. Piderit was a staunch opponent of Fischer's reactionary policies .

The Pideritplatz in Blomberg is named after him.
