Johannes Müller (sculptor)
Johannes Müller (born August 6, 1879 in Nuremberg ; † October 2, 1937 there ) was a German sculptor and painter who worked mainly in Nuremberg. He specialized in the design of architectural sculptures and tombs .
Life
Müller graduated from the Kunstgewerbeschule in Nuremberg and then enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . One of his teachers was Wilhelm von Rümann . After study trips to Scandinavia , Italy and the Netherlands , he settled in 1908 as a freelance sculptor in his native Nuremberg. In the 1920s, Müller belonged to the avant-garde art association of the Nuremberg Secession .
