Digit is a card and placement game for two to four players, ages eight and up, devised by Gerhard Kodys and published by Piatnik in 1987 as Piatnik game no. 6105. The game was released in English as Pick-it by Discovery Toys . Piatnik released the game in English and French as Stix in the late 1990s .

The rulebook describes four game variants, two of which are selected here for the time being: In a simpler variant, the figures shown on the playing cards are placed with sticks.

A more complicated variant provides that the players in turn place a figure (or a mirrored / rotated variant) that they have in the cards by turning over a single stick. The corresponding card may be discarded if this succeeds. Otherwise the player must draw a card from the deck.

On the 55 cards available, all connected figures are shown, which can be laid out from five sticks in compliance with a rectangular grid. All cards are unique in that no cards are made from mirrored and / or rotated variants of the figures. The “smaller” figures can be imagined like characters on a digital display (for example 3, d, H, U). "Larger" figures naturally extend over longer distances, e.g. B. if all five sticks are in a row.
