Dignity is an Austrian-Swedish heavy metal band that was founded in 2006 in Vienna .

history

In the fall of 2006, Dignity was founded by keyboardist Frank Pitters and drummer Roland Navratil, who had previously recorded five studio albums and one live album with Edenbridge . Martin Mayr (guitar) and John Boy Bastard (bass) added to the line-up that same year. The Swedish singer Jake E only joined the band in 2007, when the recordings for the album Project Destiny were already in progress. In the summer of 2008, Dignity signed a worldwide record deal with Napalm Records . The English radio station Radio BCMF voted Project Destiny "Album of the Year 2008".

style

Dignity's music can be classified in melodic hard rock and is reminiscent of Edguy , Europe or Axel Rudi Pell .
