Dilek Yılmaz (born February 27, 2001 ) is a Turkish handball player .

Dilek Yılmaz comes from a handball family, several sisters play first class handball in Turkey, sister Çağla Yaman was a national player. Yılmaz made his debut as a 16-year-old for İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi GSK in the first Turkish women's league .

Juniors

In Montenegro , Yılmaz took part in the Junior European Championships (U18) for the first time in 2018 as a player on the Turkish national junior team. In the preliminary round, Yılmaz, who is used in beach handball in the central defensive position and rarely goes on the offensive, lost all games against Spain, Hungary, Italy and Switzerland. Turkey had to be the bottom of the group in the placement games, which were played in the form of a league. Again, Turkey lost to Greece, Romania and a second time to Switzerland. Despite a loss of the ball by Yılmaz, the first game of the tournament was won against the Hong Kong team in two close periods. In the table of the preliminary group, thanks to the win, they were penultimate and were now in the placement round. The win in the next game against American Samoa was clearer. Yılmaz had three attempts at goal in this game and was able to hit all attempts again and achieve the optimal yield of six points. At times she played the role of a specialist in this game. She also gave an assists, captured a ball, but lost it once. Against Russia there was another clear defeat and Yılmaz had her first failed attempt at goal completion. She also lost the ball again. The last game in the placement group was again a clear victory over Mauritius. In the game, she scored her ninth and final point in the tournament from her only attempt in the game. With a total of six points, Turkey finished third in the placement round and had to face Hong Kong again in the game for ninth place, which this time was clearly beaten. Yılmaz conceded a penalty for the fourth time in the game.

As the only Turkish player in the Youth Olympic Games, Yılmaz made it into the line-up for the Beach Handball Euro 2019 in Stare Jabłonki . After a clear defeat against the Netherlands, the Turkish women won the shootout against Romania. In this victory, unlike in the subsequent defeats against Norway and Croatia and the victory over Switzerland, Yılmaz came to use. It was not until the games against Cyprus and North Macedonia that she was back in the squad and also scored two points in both games. In the end, Yılmaz was in three appearances in the tournament with her team eleventh of 20 teams.
