Dimitrios Kokolakis ( Greek Δημήτριος Κοκολάκης ; born November 11, 1949 in Rethymnon ) is a former Greek basketball player. With twelve championships won , he is the Greek record holder.

Career

Kokolakis played in the top Greek league between 1969 and 1987 and was under contract with the two most successful clubs, Panathinaikos Athens and Aris Thessaloniki . In 18 years he was able to win the Greek club cup five times in addition to twelve championships.

National team

His debut with the Greek national team was Kokolakis in a friendly game on December 29, 1973. In a 110:75 victory over England he scored nine points. In the following 13 years, Kokolais was an integral part of the Greek selection and took part in a total of four European championships. He gave his last game on February 13, 1986 in a qualifying game for the 1986 World Cup against what was then Czechoslovakia. His greatest success with the national team was winning the gold medal at the 1979 Mediterranean Championships.
