Dino Cassio

Dino Cassio (actually Leonardo Cassio ; born April 2, 1934 in Bari , † July 9, 2012 in Rome ) was an Italian comedian , actor and singer .

Life

Cassio worked in the 1960s as a cabaret artist and in variety shows ; In 1964 he moved to Rome, where he succeeded Giorgio Astore as part of the comedian troupe I Brutos , with whom he performed for a decade. In addition to the stage work, films and numerous recordings were made. In 1973 he began a second career as a soloist, during which he repeatedly worked with Renzo Arbore and took on roles in his films. Between 1980 and 1984 he appeared in over 30 films; he remained active until 2008.

Cassio died of complications from Alzheimer's disease .
