Diocles (mathematician)
Diocles (* around 240 BC in Carystus , Euboea , † around 180 BC) was an ancient Greek mathematician . He invented around 200 BC BC the cissoids to solve the problem of doubling the cube . In another publication he dealt with burning mirrors .
